Introduction
Vanessa is originally from Mexico and is currently undergoing a BHSc. Bachelor of Health Science (Myotherapy) at “Endeavour College of Natural Health”, as well as having a Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy and Advanced & Master courses in Dry needling therapy, combined with a Certificate IV on Allied Health Assistance (physiotherapy).
Vanessa as been a remedial massage therapist for 15 years, and has been working with other complementary health care professionals in the area for the last 8 years.
As well as having a background on P.A. in Physiotherapy from previous University studies, and a background on Physiotherapy assistance, Vanessa has experience on assisting with Patient Care, Clinical support, Administrative Support, Therapeutic activities, Retraining programs, Post-Stroke
rehabilitation, Early Stimulation, Pre/Post Injury treatments, and Chronic Pain management programs, helping patients to achieve back their quality of living. As well as assisting on musculoskeletal therapy and Sport rehabilitation programs.
“My goal as a Myotherapist is to contribute in the health care system by applying skills, knowledge and partnership with other professionals and help patients recover and adjust back to their normal and functional activities in life and manage physiological pain wisely. Creating and providing information and health campaigns that will educate and help patients on common health issues, like pain clinics or pain management programs would be a great contribution to the community.
